Dr. Persch joined Maryland Primary Care Physicians in 2026 and practices out of the Queenstown office. He’s dedicated to providing attentive, thorough care and building lasting relationships with the patients and families he serves.

A Career Rooted in Family and Purpose

Dr. Persch’s path to medicine was shaped by his own family’s experience. His younger brother went in for what seemed like a routine physical, but his pediatrician insisted on a thorough exam. This revealed abnormal lymphadenopathy, ultimately leading to a cancer diagnosis at just 14 years old. That thoroughness and the difference it made stayed with Dr. Persch and shaped the physician he became. After medical school, while working at an urgent care in Delaware, he saw firsthand how difficult it had become for patients in Maryland to find a primary care physician with availability. This experience strengthened his commitment to primary care.

Dr. Persch’s Approach to Primary Care

Improvement Each Day: His care philosophy centers on the “Mamba Mentality”, which he describes as “trying to be better today than I was yesterday, and better tomorrow than I was today.”

Putting Patients at Ease: He believes a warm bedside manner, a genuine smile, and a good sense of humor go a long way toward helping nervous patients feel comfortable.

More About Dr. Persch

Life on the Water: Dr. Persch grew up spending summers on the Eastern Shore, boating, fishing, and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay. Practicing out of the Queenstown office, just steps from the water, feels like coming full circle for him. 

Current Favorites: He loves reading WWII history and anything by Dan Brown, and collects sports cards and hobby boxes in his spare time.

A Home Away From Home: Dr. Persch lived in Grenada, West Indies, for three years during his medical training, and returns every year for Carnival to reconnect with the local culture and the island community he still calls family.

Inspired By: His dog, Carson, whom he adopted while he was studying medicine in Grenada. Carson has been by his side through the long hours of USMLE and board exam prep.

Fun Fact: He’s an avid sports car enthusiast.
