| MPCP Lab Scores 100% on COLA Survey | |
|
On December 28, 2007 the Maryland Primary Care Physicians Central Lab received a perfect score on a bi-annual accreditation survey performed by COLA (Committee on Laboratory Accreditation), the nonprofit, physician-directed organization promoting quality and excellence in medicine and patient care through programs of voluntary education, achievement, and accreditation. In a letter advising Maryland Primary Care Physicians of survey results, Donna Sweet, M.D., Chair, COLA Board of Directors, stated that the standards our MPCP Lab maintains demonstrate a strong commitment to quality. Our emphasis on quality leads to reliable test results, which are essential in assuring excellence in patient care. Kudos to our Lab staff for its dedication to and continued support of the highest possible standards! COLA is approved by the federal government and sponsored by the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine, and the American Osteopathic Association. |
