MPCP Participates in Community Health Fairs
Maryland Primary Care Physicians recently participated in two community health fairs sponsored by Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Both provided great opportunities for MPCP to partner with other local healthcare organizations to offer important screenings and education to the communities we serve.
![]() The first was held in the food court at the Arundel Mills shopping mall on Friday October 9th, attracting approximately 150 visitors. As one of eighteen healthcare organizations that participated, MPCP’s Arundel Mills office staff provided free blood pressure screening, while Drs. Hittman and Rutkowski were there to inform attendees of our newest location across the street from the mall, let them know that we see pediatric and adult patients, and answer their questions. The second health fair was held at the Severna Park Community Center on Friday November 13th, during which BWMC staff administered over 300 seasonal flu shots to attendees. MPCP’s Broadneck office staff was on hand to provide free blood pressure screening, while Drs. Dabbs and Ashbeck met with visitors and answered questions about the practice. Additionally, about fifteen other medical providers participating in this event offered free screenings such as bone density and derma scans, as well as educational information on topics ranging from nutrition and fitness, to breast cancer. |
