The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program brings accomplished professionals from designated countries around the world to the U.S. at a mid-point in their careers for a year of study and related professional experiences. The program, which this year will take place in October, was established in 1978 in honor of the late Senator and Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey, a lifelong advocate of international cooperation and understanding. Maryland Primary Care Physicians contributes to the success of this program each year by having our officers and directors provide to this international group of professionals an educational background of the current healthcare system and the business of medicine in the United States.
